REI Hub and TurboTenant have partnered to better serve our mutual customers by integrating our respective services. TurboTenant customers can now add REI Hub to their TurboTenant subscription, enabling the custom-built integration that will import all payments processed through TurboTenant into REI Hub.
This prevents you from having to manage your payment information in both your property management system and your accounting system, saving you serious time!
Some Important Things to Know
The integration must be activated from your TurboTenant account. TurboTenant manages subscription and billing for all integration customers.
Existing REI Hub subscribers who wish to add the integration must activate the integration through TurboTenant and then contact REI Hub support for assistance in merging portfolios.
Payments are automatically imported from TurboTenant and immediately recognized for taxes. Therefore, all deposits in your linked bank accounts corresponding to these payments should be booked as a TurboTenant Deposit or Transfer Between Accounts to prevent double booking revenue.
Payments electronically processed through TurboTenant and payments manually marked as paid in TurboTenant are handled differently.
Getting Started and Portfolio Setup
To activate the integration between TurboTenant and REI Hub, go to your TurboTenant account and follow the prompts to Add Accounting to your TurboTenant subscription. This is the only way to activate the integration—subscribing to TurboTenant and REI Hub independently will not connect the two accounts.
After you activate the REI Hub accounting add-on to your TurboTenant subscription, the custom integration will create a new REI Hub portfolio with all the properties and units in your TurboTenant account. The system will import all historic TurboTenant payment transactions, including both electronically processed payments and manually marked as paid payments.
If you do not see one or a few of your properties from TurboTenant in REI Hub, they may have come over as inactive properties. To reactivate them, go to the Portfolio tab on the left side menu, then click Properties. From the Properties page, you'll click the Filter button in the top right corner and check the box to Show Inactive properties. Once the property has been activated, you will see it with your other addresses in the Properties tab.
In your new REI Hub portfolio, you will be prompted to create a password and to (optionally) enter Estimated Market Values for your properties.
The recommended next step is to link your operating bank and credit card accounts to securely import transactions.
Payments Imported Through the Integration
Payments are imported from TurboTenant differently based on how they are processed and recorded in TurboTenant. Click here to learn about payments processed through TurboTenant.
As payments are imported from TurboTenant to REI Hub in real-time, they are immediately recognized for taxes with the appropriate property, unit, revenue, and expense information.
Any imported deposits in your linked bank accounts associated with TurboTenant payments should be booked as a TurboTenant Deposit or a Transfer Between Accounts. This prevents double-booking your revenues, as that information has already been brought in through the integration.
TurboTenant manages subscription and billing for all customers utilizing the integration, as it is only available by adding REI Hub to your existing TurboTenant subscription.
Please contact the TurboTenant support team with questions about subscription, billing, and payment information. The REI Hub support team cannot access this information and cannot process changes on your behalf.
Existing REI Hub Subscribers
Current REI Hub subscribers who wish to take advantage of the integration will need to follow a similar process. You will need to add accounting to your TurboTenant account to create a new REI Hub portfolio linked to TurboTenant.
Please contact the REI Hub support team for assistance in merging your two portfolios (the technical team must do this manually) and cancel your direct subscription.

Managing Portfolios and Accounting Access with REI Hub and TurboTenant Integration
Overview of Integration Between REI Hub and TurboTenant
REI Hub and TurboTenant are designed to integrate seamlessly, enabling landlords and property managers to handle their accounting and tenant management in a unified workflow. Subscribing to TurboTenant with an existing REI Hub account, or vice versa, may result in the creation of multiple portfolios in order to facilitate data flow between the platforms. This integration ensures that users can leverage the best features of both platforms for streamlined property management and accounting.
Managing Portfolios and Resolving Duplication Issues
In certain scenarios, such as subscribing to REI Hub first and then to TurboTenant, users may notice duplicate portfolios across the platforms. This is a normal part of the integration process as a new account is created to ensure proper data synchronization. To resolve these duplication issues, REI Hub provides backend support to merge these portfolios. By merging them, users avoid the hassle of toggling between multiple accounts or re-entering data, enabling a more efficient workflow. For assistance in merging portfolios, contact REI Hub support to facilitate this process.
Accessing Full Accounting Features in REI Hub
If you subscribed to REI Hub through TurboTenant, you can still access the platform’s robust accounting tools in several ways:
Via TurboTenant: Open the 'Accounting' section in the left-hand menu (e.g., Insights, Transactions). From these pages, use the “Manage Accounts” option to navigate directly to REI Hub.
Direct Login: Alternatively, you can visit the REI Hub website directly and log in. This allows you to: - View comprehensive accounting reports. - Book transactions using the import feed. - Maintain your preferred workflow using the full REI Hub capabilities.
These options ensure that users retain complete access to manage financial records and reports effectively, irrespective of their subscription pathway.
Canceling Your REI Hub Subscription Through TurboTenant

Click on Account in the left-hand navigation on your dashboard.
Click Settings
Navigate to the Billing tab at the top of the page
From there, you can click Cancel Subscription
TurboTenant's instruction article (with screenshots) is here if that resource is helpful.
After canceling your TurboTenant subscription or unsubscribing from the REI Hub add-on through their platform, your account will remain active and accessible until REI Hub receives an official cancellation notice from TurboTenant at the end of your billing cycle. Until then, you can continue signing into your portfolio and keeping your books by visiting https://app.reihub.net.
Once officially canceled, you will receive an email from REI Hub notifying you of the account cancellation. Accessing REI Hub after this notice will prompt you to reactivate your subscription through TurboTenant or enter a payment method if you wish to reopen your portfolio directly with REI Hub.
Your financials will pick up where they left off, but without additional rent payments synced from TurboTenant. Instead, you would book revenues from your bank import feeds, similar to how you currently handle expenses.
